Lagos | Nigeria.
Hey! Welcome! Here’s the scoop on what I do and why it matters.
I’m Daniel Idiare, a data-driven entrepreneur on a mission to scale impactful, tech-enabled solutions across Africa. With experience across ed-tech, fintech, media, and e-commerce, I’ve built companies like VarsityScape, Kwiberry, and Sidarr, each focused on creating long-term value through scalable growth models. My vision is Afro-centric: building systems that catalyze Africa’s potential and drive sustainable development across the continent.
Building VarsityScape: Transforming Education with AI
Right now, I’m fully dedicated to VarsityScape, our SaaS platform enhancing learning in cohort-based and group environments through AI-driven tech and live learning. VarsityScape is designed for impact. We’re not just creating a platform; we’re setting up an ecosystem to support and launch high-impact academies, similar to what Andela did in tech training, but expanding into a range of industries critical to Nigeria’s growth—from healthcare and business to creative arts. Our goal? Help launch and scale over 5000 academies within the next 3 years.
Scalable Solutions for African Industries
The African workforce is primed for transformation, and we’re committed to building the educational and infrastructural backbone to make that happen. Through VarsityScape, we’re crafting tailored academies that offer programs in high-growth sectors such as digital health, renewable energy, logistics, and digital media. We see each of these as essential industries for the continent’s economic diversification and resilience.
Driving Impact with Data and Tech: Past Experience
Before VarsityScape, I served as President of the Association of Nigerian Scholarship Students in Russia, where I collaborated with the Nigerian Embassy in Moscow to create a data-driven student management system. This system cut response times by over 60% and gave real-time access to information on Nigerian students across Russia. I’m passionate about government efficiency, and I believe in digitalizing public services for speed, transparency, and accountability.
Representing Africa on the Global Stage
In 2023, I represented Nigerian students at the Russia-Africa Summit, where our delegation was addressed by the Nigerian Vice President. Advocacy and policy are core to my impact philosophy, and I’m ready to continue driving meaningful change at both grassroots and governmental levels. I believe it’s this kind of engagement that will set Africa up to lead in a global, digital economy.
The Bigger Vision: Infrastructure for STEM and Talent Growth
Beyond specific projects, my long-term mission includes developing frameworks for STEM education, talent acceleration, and sustainable growth across Africa. We need resilient infrastructure for job creation and industry support. Imagine scalable platforms enabling 100,000+ young Africans in diverse careers over the next decade—this is the kind of impact I’m here to make.
